A Bridge in Glass a Top 5 Lambda Literary Finalist

There are times when something so great happens it’s hardly believable to me. Today I learned that my novel, A Bridge in Glass, was one of 5 top finalists in Lambda Literary’s 2026 Gay Romance category. All the feelings are there: humility, pride, surprise… you name it. But above all, I’m speechless. I’ve never been in a position like this, where appreciation of my work came without me first boasting about it (“Mom, look what I can do!”) or after I showered myself with imposter syndrome (“Nah, I just got lucky.”).

So, to avoid doing either, I’ll just say that even if I’m not the eventual winner, it really is an honor to be among the top 5 selectees. There are so many excellent, creative writers out there. This truly has made my day, my week, my month, my year. Thanks to Lambda Literary for this honor, and thanks to everyone who’s read A Bridge in Glass or plans to. Writing it was a passion and a pleasure, but the reward always comes from the readers.
