“Three Short Stories of Reflection and Connection”

August 12, 2025

NOW AVAILABLE as an eBook at Amazon, Kobo and Barnes & Noble is my collection, Three Short Stories of Reflection and Connection. If you’ve read my novel, A Bridge in Glass, you’ll surely recognize my writing style, but each of these stories is very different from Bridge (and from one another). I’m excited to see them released, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy them.

When loud, unidentified noises begin rippling across the nighttime sky across the world, a man hears a voice speaking directly into his mind, ordering him to commit unspeakable acts. Cracks in the Sky is a tense delve into his increasing isolation and a test of just how far he’ll go to preserve what he thinks is the greater good.

As two men from different generations explore the ruins of a previously deserted city, their old world collides with the new, challenging their views of themselves and each other. Contemporaries is a post-apocalyptic tale exploring the disparate ways people of different ages view the world they share.

When a young boy visits his great grandmother in a nursing home, his innocence ends when his empathy blooms. The Voice of Memory focuses on a singular event in 1977, when an ordinary child learns the complicated depths of human yearning, regardless of age, and the need we have for connection.
