“A Bridge in Glass” Book Launch and Signing

May 18, 2025

Thanks to everyone who came to this exciting and moving event!

On Sunday, May 18, I celebrated the release of A Bridge in Glass with an afternoon book launch reception. The event went wonderfully, with huge thanks to my dear friend Mike and my husband Miguel, and all the hard work they did in tandem to make it happen.

The weather was perfect and the setting was ideal. I’m grateful that I got to spend time with everyone, even with those that were only able to drop in for a minute or two.

Personally, I still feel a bit of imposter syndrome when people celebrate my work, and while I felt it deep down just a bit during this event, what I felt even more was the genuine love and friendship from the people who came. I know that many of you out there second-guess your achievements and your importance in the eyes of others. But take it from me, you are loved and thought of more—and more often—than you think.

I’m love how cool the book’s promo materials turned out.

I want to thank everyone who has purchased A Bridge in Glass thus far. I’m grateful to Dreamspinner Press for getting my novel out in the world, and to the many people who’ve supported me along the way. Thanks are also due to the classy little boutique Metro Hotel in San Francisco for allowing us the use of their garden space for the book launch. Not since my wedding have so many people from various corners of my life come together for such a good time.

For those of you still hovering between the cover and page one of A Bridge in Glass, I truly hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. It’s wistful, joyful, and at times sobering, but art imitates life, does it not?

Now, enough from me. I’ll let you get back to reading, just as I get back to writing.
